After decades of increases in average life expectancy, it is now decreasing at an increasing rate.

Such that life expectancy is now the same as it was 10 years ago.

And at the other end of the age range, children are getting smaller.

And the opportunity to resolve some aspects of these population characteristics is getting worse.

But it hasn’t always been like this. Natural population growth is often a reflection of prosperity, confidence and contentment.

This country is the 6^th largest economy in the world.
