Following the blatant lies stated by several of its leading politicians, it decided to inflict economic self-harm in 2016, enacted in 2020.
Though people are willing to come to help look after it, especially the elderly and people with disabilities, they are not allowed to bring their families with them.
But, at least the people can enjoy the many lovely beaches that surround the island (or not)….
And the privatised water companies are keeping the rivers clean (or not). In 2023…..
